How to apply for Gas Aid?
If you meet the requirements of the GAS AID and still do not receive the benefit, follow these steps to register:
- Check your registration on CadÚnico: If you are not yet registered, go to the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) in your municipality to register. Note that when you arrive at the CRAS, request assistance from the reference technicians (psychologist and social worker), they will analyze your conditions and direct you to register in the Registry and receive the benefit;
- Keep your data up to date: Families already registered with CadÚnico must keep their data updated to remain eligible. Therefore, remember to go to the Cadastro Único unit every 2 years, or whenever any information changes, to update your information. If you have already done this and still do not receive your aid, contact the CRAS social worker to discuss the situation;
- Follow the selection of beneficiaries: The government makes an automatic selection based on information from CadÚnico.
- Check the status of the benefit: Use the Caixa Tem app, the Caixa Econômica Federal website or call 111 to check if the payment is available.
O Gas Aid It is an essential resource to ensure that families in vulnerable situations have decent conditions to prepare their food. If you meet the criteria, be sure to seek this right!
Finally, remember that the benefit may undergo adjustments annually, and these adjustments are usually for the better, such as an increase in the amount paid. And based on what has already been reported, if you do not yet receive your benefit, but meet the requirements, you will also receive Bolsa Família, as both benefits are cumulative.
